Pat Decker Nipper is a native Idahoan, born and raised in Grangeville, Idaho on the Camas Prairie in north central Idaho. She grew up hearing a lot of stories about this area, rich in western history. Her grandparents were born before Idaho became a state in 1890 and established a ranch on the prairie in the early 1900s, buying land from the Nez Perce Indians. Read about Indian sign language and Lewis and Clark, or Miner’s Lettuce, or the curse of the Winchester rifle. For more, visit her website. Pat’s book Love On the Lewis And Clark Trail is available on Amazon.
